Tracer is a software program designed to examine a Unix system from the "inside", identify configuration errors, and advise on how to correct them.

Normally, you run Tracer by typing:

 tracer 

Tracer automatically checks everything it knows how to check and produces a report describing any configuration flaws it detects and instructions on how to remove those flaws.
