Personae are personality profiles of individuals or groups relative to the issues of power and
influence most commonly encountered in interactive situations. This program codifies much of
the known information about how power and influence work in human interactions based on
psychological research into these issues over many years. The main factors considered are:

 - Charisma: The personal attraction and likability of the persona in the larger situation
 - Position: Where the persona sits in the control structure of the larger situation
 - Money: How much funding the persona has relative to the project at hand
 - Physical power: How much they have or can exert physical controls to limit your influence
 - Expertise: The level of technical credibility the persona has relative to the situation
 - History: Whether the persona has historically sided with or against your previous efforts
 - Adoption: The project stage at which the persona usually get on board with an effort

Relative to the effort at hand, the supportiveness and interest levels of the persona are
critical factors and are represented by the location of the persona on the Influence picture
as controlled by your placement.

Each persona is given a rating indicating how important they are at this point in time. This
is displayed as an integer in the bar used to drag the persona around the display. It changes
as the situation changes and takes into account such things as the number of threats they
contribute to the risk to the project in dealing with them (more is worse) and the number
of choices for dealing with them (more is better).

Of course you may not know all of these things about each persona of interest, so things start out
neutral or with estimated values and only get altered when the user specifies a characteristic they
know. Personae are created using the Persona selector from the Influence menu.
