Release 3.0.1 of the Bootable CD represents the first release of Bootable CD that was built entirely on a White Glove embedded installation. We rebuilt just about everything in the White Glove distribution from source using the stable 2.4.18 kernel with the most up to date libraries. PCMCIA and Cardbus card libraries were updated, X11 was updated, the installer was updated, and all of the other distributions were rebuilt. A new X11 menu setup was also created that divides functions by user type and automates the most popular things that previously required using an Xterm and multiple commands.
The new release represents a very stable platform with most of the capabilities of fully installed Linux distributions, and some process improvements provide more efficient selection of libraries to let us fit even more on the standard 180Meg CD.
